FDP on Contemporary Research in Commerce & Management
To improve the quality of research for academicians and research scholars, SHIM organized Faculty Development Program on ‘Contemporary Research in Commerce and Management’ on 8th & 9th December, 2018. The resource person was Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, who has a rich experience of 23 years in Research and Academics. From basics to advanced research concepts, valuable inputs were provided to the delegates. Delegates attended the session with full zeal and appreciated the initiative.
Business Standard Quiz
The objective of every business school competition is to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish a relationship between theory and application of the learnt concepts.These competitions enable the students to think out of the box. To set this in perspective, Business Standard team organized Business quiz for the students.

Padhe Bhopal Activity
As a part of the initiative by Hon’ble Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel, Padhe Bhopal (पढ़े भोपाल) activity was conducted on 9th October to encourage the reading habits of students. Nearly 300 students of SHIM participated in the activity wholeheartedly. This was an event coordinated by Higher Education Department and Barkatullah University.

Inter House Championship \”Jagrukta\” Nukkad Natak
SHIM organized Inter-House Championship \”Jagrukta\” Nukkad Natak Competition on 27th October 2018 hosted by Green House. The objective of the event was to spread awareness amongst the students regarding women empowerment and other issues of the society. With vibrant enthusiasm each team performed excellent. The winner of the championship was Green House, coordinated by Prof. Neha Nagpal. The winners were awarded with certificates and medals. It was a successful event where vital issues were highlighted with the medium of acts by the students.

Inter College Championship SHIM Fest
More than 1500 students participated in nine events conducted in SHIM Fest held on 10th February 2018. In line with the JSS Carnival and JSS Jigyasa, this was the event in series, which has been a Grand success that too being organized for the first time.
93.5 Red FM was the Media Partner of this mega Fest, Season I of SHIM Fest has seen students from 30 colleges namely Sarojini Naidu ( Nutan) ,BSSS, IEHE (Excellence), MLB, Geetanjali, Satya Sai and Many more of Bhopal along with various other colleges from Hoshangabad, Vidisha, Itarasi, Katni and Sehore participating in events like Treasure Hunt, Quiz, Dance, Talent hunt, Flameless cooking, Debate, Newspaper dress, Mehandi, Tatoo and Rangoli competition.
The valedictory ceremony was organized in the Auditorium wherein students, faculty members and all guests were benefitted by the inspirational words of Managing Director- Shri Hero Gyanchandani and Director SHIM – Dr. Rakesh Anand. The award winners were elated with joy and celebration with their achievements. IEHE (Excellence) walked away with the Championship trophy with maximum awards among huge uproar and applaud. All participants were given the participation certificates in the closing ceremony.
